January 21, 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Goomeri resident received a surprise\u00a0 phone call from police this week when they rang to say his vehicle had been stolen and found in a ditch.<\/p>\n

The vehicle had been left secured in a locked garage in Hodge Street, Goomeri.<\/p>\n

Gympie Police said an offender or offenders forced their way into the garage in the early hours of January 16 and located keys that had been stored near the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Investigations are continuing.<\/p>\n

National Parks and Wildlife employees are monitoring a fire which has been burning in the Wondai State Forest since last Tuesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

QFES has warned that smoke from the fire may cause a hazard, so motorists in the Charlestown area have been warned to drive with caution.<\/p>\n

On Friday morning, ambulance paramedics transported a patient from Ballogie to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition following a reported snake bite.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Tuesday morning,\u00a0 a man was taken by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital after a single-vehicle crash on the D’Aguilar Highway at Nanango.<\/strong><\/p>\n

QFES personnel assisted the man from the vehicle, which had rolled over.<\/p>\n

Nanango Police are investigating a break-in which occurred in Appin Street overnight on January 10.<\/strong><\/p>\n
