A young couple from NSW had their travel plans cut short in Kingaroy on Thursday afternoon when their SUV ran off the Bunya Highway and ended up in a creek.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred about 1:15pm just outside Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

Ambulance paramedics checked the three occupants of the car – a man, woman and child – at the scene.<\/p>\n

The woman and child were then transported to Kingaroy Hospital as a precautionary measure.<\/p>\n

The Dodge Journey appears to have left the highway just before the bridge over Kingaroy Creek, careered down a small bank and ended up surrounded by mud and reeds.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy firefighters assisted with unloading the vehicle, which was packed with luggage for the couple’s trip.<\/p>\n
