The winners of the annual Hancock Prospecting Christmas Lights competition were announced on Wednesday at the South Burnett Regional Council’s monthly meeting.<\/p>\n

Kath Kennedy from 40 Amaroo Drive in Wondai has won the $15,000 first prize, and David and Linda Marskell from 14 Cowie Drive in Kingaroy have been awarded the $10,000 runner-up prize.<\/p>\n

Other urban and rural winners are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • 1st Nanango Urban: Francis Honey, 45 South Street, Nanango<\/li>\n
  • 2nd Nanango Urban: Alan and Rosie Strugnell, 10 Grey Street, Nanango<\/li>\n
  • 1st Nanango Rural: DJ and SJ Hancock, 111 Burnett Highway, Nanango<\/li>\n
  • 2nd Nanango Rural: Scott Pedron, 22 Tanduringie Drive, Tarong<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Urban and rural winners will receive a $500 prize, and runners-up will receive $300.<\/p>\n

              The winner of the business display will receive $1000, and the runner-up $500.<\/p>\n

              South Burnett Mayor Keith Campbell congratulated all 65 entrants for the high standard of this year’s competition.<\/p>\n
