Police have released drone vision of a major drug operation in the Brisbane Valley area during which 11,795 cannabis plants were seized.<\/p>\n

The raids were conducted on Wednesday at properties in Coominya, Mount Hallen and Churchable.<\/p>\n

“Operation Papa Cider” began in July with police investigations focusing on cannabis production and trafficking in south-east Queensland.<\/p>\n

A police spokesman said that when search warrants were executed at the three properties, police discovered separate sophisticated growing houses.<\/p>\n

The plants ranged in size from seedlings through to mature plants, 1.5m tall.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cannabis was also located in various stages of drying.<\/p>\n

A 34-year-old Churchable man, arrested in Inala on Thursday morning, has been charged with one count of producing dangerous drugs.<\/p>\n

Two men, aged 24 and 26, were located during the raids at Coominya and have both been charged with producing dangerous drugs.<\/p>\n

Detective Superintendent Jon Wacker, of the State Crime Command Drug and Serious Crime Group, said the location and seizure of the cannabis was very significant and would have a major impact on availability in the Brisbane and south-east Queensland drug markets.<\/p>\n

\u201cPrior to the execution of the search warrants, investigations throughout Operation Papa Cider had already netted the arrest of seven people on 10 charges and the seizure of approximately 87kg of cannabis,\u201d Det Supt Wacker said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe estimated value of cannabis seized throughout this operation to date stands at approximately $60 million.\u201d<\/p>\n

Investigations are continuing.<\/p>\n
