Kingaroy’s renovated Memorial Park Rotunda was officially opened on Wednesday morning, although the $198,000 restoration project is still not totally finished.<\/p>\n

The timing for the official opening was set months in advance so there was still some minor work to be completed, including a coat of protective paint and repairs to the steps, when the ceremony began.<\/p>\n

Special guest was Queensland RSL president Stewart Cameron CSC, who travelled from Brisbane especially for the event.<\/p>\n

After a brief talk, Mr Cameron joined with South Burnett Mayor Keith Campbell to unveil the official plaque.<\/p>\n

Councillors, council staff and RSL members were among the small crowd that watched the ceremony.<\/p>\n

Deputy Mayor Kathy Duff was the compere for the morning.<\/p>\n
