November 23, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

Aeromodellers from the Samford Valley, Ipswich, Maryborough and Dalby Clubs came to Kingaroy recently to take part in the third annual Flying Day hosted by the Kingaroy Aeromodellers Club.<\/p>\n

Also present were members of the South Burnett community keen to see the aircraft in action.<\/p>\n

This was the third annual open Flying Day that the Kingaroy Aeromodellers have held to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.<\/p>\n

Several community members took the opportunity to introduce the next generation of possible fliers to the fast-growing family sport.<\/p>\n

They had the opportunity of experiencing the adrenalin rush and thrill of a model aircraft in flight for the purchase of a $5 commemorative RFDS badge.<\/p>\n

South Burnett councillor Danita Potter had a go at flying after officially opening the event.<\/p>\n

A morning team followed the ribbon-cutting ceremony.<\/p>\n
