When a plane carrying two rock stars and a reporter crashes into an island with a severe man shortage, the stage is set for a night of rib-tickling slapstick comedy.<\/p>\n

And that’s exactly what the South Burnett Musical Comedy Society (SBMCS) will be serving up in Wondai, Nanango and Kingaroy this Friday and Saturday night, and next Friday and Saturday as well.<\/p>\n

Their latest theatre-restaurant production “Jungle Juice” is the Society’s first theatre-restaurant show in four years.<\/p>\n

In 2013, an ensemble cast of SBMCS members produced “Jest Call Me Cowboy”, a hilarious production that was originally planned to run for a five show season, but drew such a positive reaction two extra performances had to be staged to meet demand.<\/p>\n

The cast members of Jungle Juice include some new performers and some old hands, and apart from comedy the production also includes singing and dancing numbers as well.<\/p>\n

Jungle Juice is being directed by seasoned performer Brad Boynton, who is well-known to local audiences – most recently, for his performance earlier this year as the cowardly lion in the SBMCS’ highly successful production of “The Wizard Of Oz”.<\/p>\n

Shows will be held at Wondai RSL (Friday November 17), Taras Hall next to Nanango RSL (Saturday, November 18), and SBCare opposite Kingaroy’s SupaIGA (Friday and Saturday, November 24-25), all starting at 7:00pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There will also be a bonus matinee performance at Kingaroy’s SBCare at 12:30pm on Saturday, November 25 which will offer lunch and dessert rather than dinner and dessert.<\/p>\n

Tickets to see each performance are $40 per head.<\/p>\n

They include a two course meal as well as the show, and all venues are licensed.<\/p>\n

Each performance starts at 7:00pm and tickets need to be booked online<\/b><\/a>. Tables of eight can be booked directly by phoning 0477-524-669.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> As of Thursday, November 16 the Wondai and Nanango productions are sold out and only 23 seats are still available for next week’s Kingaroy night-time shows.<\/p>\n
