Nanango jeweller Darrel Brewerton exchanged marriage vows with his fiancee Gillian Walker on October 21 at St David\u2019s Presbyterian Church in Toowoomba.<\/p>\n

The service was performed by Pastor Steve Nixon from the Church of Christ, Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The couple, who met through a mutual friend back in 2013, spent months planning and preparing for their nuptials.<\/p>\n

They chose Toowoomba as the venue for their wedding because many of Gillian’s family members live there.<\/p>\n

Darrel is the son of long-time Nanango jewellers Peter and Lynda Brewerton and his newly-wed wife the daughter of Glen and Helen Walker, Maleny.<\/p>\n

After the ceremony, the couple and 120 guests moved to a reception at the Toowoomba City Golf Club.<\/p>\n

Guests had travelled from as far as Tasmania and New Zealand for the couple\u2019s special day.<\/p>\n

Great believers in supporting the Queensland economy, Darrel and Gillian spent a two-week honeymoon at Airlie Beach where they took in the sights, relaxed, dined and met some of the locals before returning to work.<\/p>\n
