Taabinga State School P&C hosted the biggest fete Kingaroy has seen for years on Saturday, an event that stretched for a massive 10 hours.<\/p>\n

The community fete featured a giant slide, multiple rides, jumping castles, live entertainment and even a licensed bar in the evening.<\/p>\n

More than 25 stalls were selling everything from secondhand books and baked goods, to plants and toys. And, of course, there was the obligatory white elephant stall.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy police and fire brigade also had vehicles to explore.<\/p>\n

A popular stall was the “splat” chair where children had the opportunity to throw a ball and “splat” a teacher with a water-filled balloon.<\/p>\n

(As it was such a warm day, few minded getting the drenching.)<\/p>\n

Also popular was the laser skirmish playground and there was a long queue at the face-painting.<\/p>\n

A stage area was set up for karate and dancing demonstrations, performances by the Kingaroy State High School band and a Taabinga State School talent quest.<\/p>\n

In the evening, Luke Medcalf and Dean Fresser took over the entertainment for the adults.<\/p>\n

The day, which had been 12 months in the planning, was topped off with a massive fireworks display.<\/p>\n

Profits from the fete will go towards adding more air-conditioning at the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
