The South Burnett Regional Council will upgrade a Kumbia road intersection over the next few months to reduce ongoing maintenance costs and improve the road for local drivers<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

October 30, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

The South Burnett Regional Council will be starting preliminary works on Kumbia Road shortly.<\/p>\n

Work will focus on the area surrounding the Hays Road and Dicks Road intersection near Kumbia, where Council will widen the bitumen seal and improve drainage to reduce ongoing maintenance.<\/p>\n

Works will include clearing and grubbing, excavation, drainage, gravel pavement, bitumen sealing, line marking and signage.<\/p>\n

It is expected the project will be completed in early 2018, weather permitting.<\/p>\n

During construction, traffic will either be controlled by traffic controllers or traffic lights, and some minor delays to traffic are anticipated.<\/p>\n
