The November exhibition at the Wondai Art Gallery will officially open next Friday night (November 3) and there’ll be a treat in store again for local art lovers.<\/p>\n

Glenn Kelly, who was last seen at the gallery in a unique “auction” exhibition in 2014, has brought his “Colourful Reflections” to the Main Gallery.<\/p>\n

He mainly works in acrylics and resin, with a few oil paintings in the mix.<\/p>\n

Glenn has described his latest works as “spiritual realism”, with bright colours exploding abstractly on the canvas.<\/p>\n

The Darling Downs Textile Art Group will have their 11 panels illustrating Banjo Patterson’s well-known poem, “Mulga Bill’s Bicycle”, in the Front Gallery.<\/strong><\/p>\n

These panels were on display earlier this year at Kingaroy Art Gallery. If you missed them there, it’s definitely worth dropping into Wondai just to take a look.<\/p>\n

The panels display a wide range of techniques, all using textile fibres as the medium.<\/p>\n

Local artists Joy Carter and Trish Erkens will have their exhibition, “Soul Sisters”, in the Third Gallery.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Joy and Trish have been good friends and painting pals for some 10 years now and have much in common with their painting and gardening endeavours.<\/p>\n

Joy has a real love for flowers which reflects in her watercolours. She also dabbles in oils and acrylics and sometimes pastel.<\/p>\n

Trish loves anything that catches her eye and watercolours are her real love.<\/p>\n

Works from Wondai Kindy will be in Kidz Korner.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Opening night begins at 6:00pm with a $5 entry fee which includes a hot and cold supper and punch. Glasses of wine will be available to buy from Clovely Estate.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will remain in the Wondai Regional Art Gallery until 4:00pm on Saturday, November 25.<\/p>\n

The Wondai Gallery is open seven days from 10:00am until 4:00pm. Entry is free (except on opening night).<\/p>\n
