The South Burnett Regional Council has released its latest annual report after voting to do so at a special meeting on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

By law, all Queensland Councils are obliged to produce an Annual Report shortly after the end of each financial year.<\/p>\n

The report is then vetted by the Department of Local Government to ensure it complies with State-wide guidelines, and approval to release it is usually given in late October or early November.<\/p>\n

The report covers the Council’s major achievements in 2016-17 and how well – or otherwise – it is meeting performance targets and long-term goals.<\/p>\n

It also provides financial data that outline where the Council’s money came from and how it was spent.<\/p>\n
