Langports English College students travelled from Brazil, Colombia, Russia, Switzerland and Japan to present Cherbourg State School achievers with rewards for studying hard\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

It’s deadly cool to stay in school, even if you’re visiting Australia from the other side of the planet …<\/p>\n

Langports English Language College gave the campaign an international flavour yesterday when some of its overseas students presented bicycles to Cherbourg State School\u2019s top students of the year.<\/p>\n

The international students are studying at the Brisbane school to improve their English skills.<\/p>\n

Langports director Susie France said the students had raised funds for the school rewards by holding barbecues and other events after they \u00a0learned about the “It\u2019s Deadly Cool to Stay in School” slogan and the Barambah PaCE project.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur motto is to improve children\u2019s live through education projects and we liked your \u2018Deadly Cool to Stay in School\u2019,” Ms France said.<\/p>\n

\u201cEducation is a gift and it does allow for children to reach their full potential and lead happier, fulfilling lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cherbourg State School principal Peter Sansby said the joy on the children\u2019s faces when they received the bikes made the year worthwhile.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey came to school every day, tried hard and did well,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
