December 13, 2012<\/strong><\/p>\n

An unusual thing happened in Kingaroy this evening … a Christmas Carnival was held and it DIDN’T rain!<\/p>\n

(Who says climate change isn’t real?)<\/p>\n

The many young families who turned out on a balmy evening enjoyed a wide range of rides, live music on stage, market stalls and a special visit by an old gent in red who attracted crowds of young fans.<\/p>\n

All the usual highlights proved as popular as ever … the Kingaroy Rotary Ham Wheel, the Kingaroy-Taabinga Rotary hamburgers, face-painting and, of course, Santa.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett Speedway Club also had a special display this year, promoting their upcoming\u00a0National Super Sedan Series (NSSS) race meeting in Kingaroy on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Star driver Matt Pascoe,\u00a0the 2009\/2010 series champion, was on hand to sign autographs for his young fans.<\/p>\n

This is the fourth year that the Kingaroy Christmas Carnival has been organised by the South Burnett Young Leaders Association.<\/p>\n
