Gympie Police say mountain bike patrols will become a regular sight on the newly opened Kilkivan to Kingaroy rail trail.<\/p>\n

Police have already patrolled the section from Kilkivan to Goomeri.<\/p>\n

The rail trail from Kilkivan to Murgon is unsealed, hence the need for mountain bikes for the “mounted police”.<\/p>\n

“This is another great recreational activity in our community for everyone to use, in particular encouraging families to get out there and get active,” Senior Constable Deb Wruck wrote on the myPolice Gympie<\/a><\/strong> web page.<\/p>\n

“Regular police mountain bike patrols will become a familiar site for the locals and visitors wishing to use the trail.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
