What is it with people naming things after Tingoora?<\/p>\n

The name of our little South Burnett town – famous for its Tinny Pub – last year graced a new peanut variety released by the Peanut Company of Australia.<\/p>\n

Now an American zoo has named a dingo pup after the town.<\/p>\n

The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo in Indiana is raising seven pure-bred dingo pups born at the zoo on January 30.<\/p>\n

And according to Fox News, they’ve named them: Mawson, Bunyip, Elsey, Airlie, Brumby, Yengo … and Tingoora.<\/p>\n

We’re wondering why they didn’t go up the highway a bit and name the pup after the South Burnett’s own “dingo town”, Wondai …<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
