ABC Radio announced on Friday that popular Statewide Evenings presenter David Curnow will be taking indefinite leave from his program.<\/p>\n

\u201cDavid is a valued member of our team,” Local Manager Jen Brennen said.<\/p>\n

“He is highly regarded by his colleagues for his considerable journalistic skills, his keen eye for a story, and his ability to report on news.<\/p>\n

“He is much-loved by our team and by ABC audiences.\u201d<\/p>\n

Discussing his break from radio, David said he was looking forward to spending more time with his young family.<\/p>\n

David has been a familiar face and voice around Queensland with more than 15 years experience on ABC radio and TV news.<\/p>\n

He made the move to radio in 2014 and has been presenting Statewide Evenings ever since.<\/p>\n

Trevor Jackson will continue to present Evenings until the end of the broadcast year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
