Recreational motorbike riders in the South Burnett kept RACQ LifeFlight helicopters busy at the weekend, with two medevacs from Cooyar and one from Boondooma.<\/p>\n

On Saturday afternoon, a 29-year-old man was airlifted by the Sunshine Coast-based helicopter after he lost control of his bike and crashed at Motocross Mountain near Cooyar.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The rider impaled his arm on the clutch lever of the bike.<\/p>\n

He was treated at the scene by QAS paramedics and the LifeFlight critical care doctor before being flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.<\/p>\n

On Sunday afternoon, a 14-year-old girl was airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital after crashing her motorbike at Manar Park near Boondooma.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A LifeFlight spokesperson said the teenager is believed to have lost control of her bike and sustained a possible spinal injury.<\/p>\n

The girl was transported by the Sunshine Coast-based helicopter in a stable condition.<\/p>\n

The third motorcycle incident occurred at Motocross Mountain, near Cooyar, on Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight helicopter was called to assist a 27-year-old woman involved in a motocross mishap.<\/p>\n

It is believed the woman was attempting a jump at the park when she lost control and crashed, badly injuring her right foot.<\/p>\n

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew worked alongside the Queensland Ambulance Service to treat the woman before flying her to Toowoomba Hospital.<\/p>\n

The woman was transported in a stable condition.<\/p>\n

Also on Saturday, the Sunshine Coast rescue helicopter airlifted a 22-year-old man to hospital after he suffered a suspected spinal injury in a two-vehicle crash south-west of Gympie.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The RACQ LifeFlight helicoper was called to the scene about 10:30am.<\/p>\n

The man was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.<\/p>\n
