Crime Stoppers launched “Operation Roam: Rogue Radar” on Monday … a national to search to help find 18 fugitives wanted for questioning\u00a0 in connection with various offences around Australia.<\/p>\n

Operation Roam is running from August 21 to 27.<\/p>\n

Four fugitives are wanted in NSW, four in Queensland, six in Victoria, three in South Australia and one in the Northern Territory, however authorities say each could be anywhere in the country.<\/p>\n

Crime Stoppers is calling on members of the public to be on the lookout for the people named on the “Rogue Radar” list … they could potentially be hidden in plain sight in communities across Australia.<\/p>\n

Queensland Fugitives<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

\nActing Assistant Commissioner David Tucker said Operation Roam was a great initiative with a successful history of tracking down those wanted by law enforcement agencies across the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cOperation Roam exists because these offenders like to roam around the country, ensuring they can settle somewhere no one recognises them,” he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese people go rogue, leaving the communities where they are known and create a life for themselves somewhere else.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe urge you to keep an eye out for anyone who looks familiar to the descriptions and photos provided, and report any information you have to Crime Stoppers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crime Stoppers Queensland CEO Trevor O\u2019Hara said the\u00a0 individuals named in this year\u2019s Operation Roam were allegedly responsible for a range of offences, including murder, drug trafficking, armed robbery and fraud.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese criminals could be working alongside you in your community. It might be a new person you\u2019ve noticed in your area or a more familiar face such as a neighbour, work colleague, customer, friend or even a family relative,” he said.<\/p>\n
