The managing committee of the Kingaroy Local Ambulance Committee was re-elected unopposed at the organisation’s annual general meeting on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n

Re-elected were president John Box, vice-president Debbie Jackson, secretary Christine Box and treasurer Sharon Leach.<\/p>\n

During the past year, the committee completed its fundraising for a MegaCode Kid life-size child training simulator for the station, which was handed over earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Officer-in-charge Travis Cramb said at this stage the activities for the next year would concentrate on raising CPR awareness, with sessions at schools, businesses “and everywhere else we can”.<\/p>\n

He said the QAS was keen to get as many people as possible to learn CPR.<\/p>\n

“It is the key to survival before getting to hospital,” Travis said.<\/p>\n

At the end of Travis\u2019 report, he presented the LAC members with QAS anniversary lapel badges.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The badges mark the 125th anniversary of the foundation of the Queensland\u00a0ambulance in 1892.<\/p>\n
