Nanango police have found the original owners of a stash of cash found in a TV cabinet bought from the Hervey Bay Recycling Market in June.<\/p>\n

A member of the public bought the secondhand cabinet, branded \u201cEveryday Country\u201d, at North Nikenbah on June 27.<\/p>\n

A police spokesman said that once the buyer arrived home and began unloading the cabinet from his vehicle, one of the drawers opened and a substantial amount of cash fell out.<\/p>\n

The man went to Nanango Police Station and handed the cash over to officers.<\/p>\n

The owners, a couple from Hervey Bay aged in their 50s, were made aware of the missing money via social media and contacted Nanango Police Station.<\/p>\n

They were incredibly grateful to the member of the public for being honest and handing it into police.<\/p>\n

The money has since been returned to its rightful owners.<\/p>\n
