Go west young man (and woman), go west! The traditional command was obeyed with gusto on Saturday night at the annual Kumbia Brain Drain.<\/p>\n

The theme for this year’s trivia night – which is a major fundraiser for the Kumbia State School P&C – was “The Wild West”, and yes, the night was pretty wild.<\/p>\n

There were gunslingers, cowboys, saloon girls and even a sheriff or two.<\/p>\n

Oddly enough, there were also a few sheep, cattle and horses!<\/p>\n

The night attracted patrons from across the South Burnett, Darling Downs and Brisbane, and even a few from NSW.<\/p>\n

The number of tables sold was down slightly, which organisers put down to tickets going on sale later than normal.<\/p>\n

They promised that the this would be rectified for 2018 and the theme would also be announced sooner.<\/p>\n

No one would have noticed on the night that the numbers were down, as the hall was still packed with color and atmosphere, and the sounds of cowboys and cowgirls having a fun time.<\/p>\n
