But values for export cattle, feeder types and weaner heifers were all easier.<\/p>\n<p>Cattle were drawn from Mundubbera, Gayndah, Mt Perry, Durong, Yarraman, Nanango, Kingaroy and local areas.<\/p>\n<p>Very few export bullocks were yarded.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Heavy Bulls<\/strong> sold to fairly firm rates, topping at $2.56\/kg for $2230<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cows over 500kg<\/strong> sold to 2.23\/kg and $1570<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Cows 400\u2013500kg were cheaper, selling to $2.10\/kg and averaging $1.93\/kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lighter Cows under 400kg<\/strong> sold to $1.60\/kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Charolais cross steers<\/strong> from G &amp; F Stumm of Goomeri sold $3.00\/kg to return $1417<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Droughtmaster steers<\/strong> from L. Yesberg of Tansey sold for $1462 ($2.90), $1417 ($2.98) and $1446($2.73)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>420kg Santa steers<\/strong> from S &amp; D Hansen of Murgon sold for $1180<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>305kg Angus cross steers<\/strong> from L &amp; H Grant of Merlwood sold to $979 at $3.05\/kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A draft of 64 Droughtmaster steers<\/strong> with an average weight of 318kg on a\/c Myora Pastoral, Johnstown sold for $936 at $3.02\/kg average<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>312kg Droughtmaster steers<\/strong> from M. Pethers of Mt McEuen sold to $911 at $2.91\/kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>228kg Santa weaner steers<\/strong> from Wheatlands sold for $3.66\/kg to return $834<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Angus cross weaner steers<\/strong> from Yarraman sold for $783 at $3.58\/kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>263kg Charolais cross weaner steers<\/strong> from A &amp; R Barsby of Tansey sold for $891 at $3.38\/kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Braford cross steers<\/strong> from Stuart Dingle of Mt Perry sold for $3.33\/kg for $720<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Simmental cross weaner steers<\/strong> from Kennedy &amp; Hefferan of Murgon sold at $3.33\/kg for $743<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Light Charbray weaner steers<\/strong> from Gayndah sold to $646 at $3.55\/kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A draft of 416kg crossbred heifers<\/strong> from Merlwood Enterprises sold for an average of $2.63\/kg for $1095, the tops being Charbray heifers at $2.75\/kg and $1114<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>305kg Angus heifers<\/strong> sold for $2.85\/kg, returning $872<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Charolais weaner heifers<\/strong> from R &amp; O Rankin of Brigooda sold for $670 and $2.85\/kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Angus weaner heifers<\/strong> from S. Lavaring, Kingaroy sold for $2.80\/kg returning $605<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Braford cross weaner heifers<\/strong> from the Davies family of Yarraman sold for $681 at $2.75\/kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The next Murgon Fat, Store and Calf Sales will be held at the Murgon Saleyards on Tuesday, August 22.<\/p>\n<p>The Coolabunia Fat and Store sale planned for Tuesday, August 8 was cancelled due to low cattle numbers.<\/p>\n<p>The next Coolabunia sale will be the Charolais Bull Sale on Thursday, August 17.
