A 26-year-old man has been charged in connection with last month’s thefts at the Kingaroy Car and Dog Wash and a ram raid at the Colinton Service Station.<\/p>\n

The man, from Beerwah, was arrested by police in Caboolture last Thursday.<\/p>\n

The Kingaroy incident allegedly involved the theft of coin and vending machines, and damage to equipment.<\/p>\n

At Colinton, a vehicle was allegedly used to smash through glass doors in a failed bid to remove an ATM machine.<\/p>\n

A red Commodore, which had been linked to both incidents, was found burned out at Blackbutt in mid-July along with the entry teller machine from the car wash.<\/p>\n

The man has been charged with multiple offences including committing an indictable offence at Colinton, stealing from vending machines in Kingaroy, wilful damage of coin and vending machines in Kingaroy, stealing a motor vehicle in Rockville, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, disqualified driving, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing a knife in a public place and obstructing police.<\/p>\n

He has been remanded in custody to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on August 23.<\/p>\n
