July 28, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

The South Burnett Grazing Network, in partnership with Private Forestry Service Queensland, will be holding a Timber Production and Grazing Field Day at BJ Gentry\u2019s property in Nanango on Saturday (July 29).<\/p>\n

The Field Day will be presented by Bill Schulke and Sean Ryan from PFSQ, and the focus of the day will be Grazing Land Management and Tree Density.<\/p>\n

The Field day is free and open to all producers.<\/p>\n

Trial plots have been set up on BJ\u2019s property over many years, and attendees will be able to see highly productive forest land supporting good grazing pastures.<\/p>\n

Managing tree density is key to balancing a sustainable productive environment. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The presenters will take attendees through the current worth of timber products as well as viewing regrowth of forests thinned ten years ago.<\/p>\n

Data to support an integrated management system will be available as well.<\/p>\n

The day will begin at 9:00am and finish at 3:00pm.<\/p>\n

Guests should bring lunch and chairs, wear sunsmart clothes and closed in shoes.<\/p>\n

Tap water, hot water, tea, coffee, sugar, milk and morning tea will be provided.<\/p>\n
