dinner held in Kingaroy.

The bursary is being offered by the Barambah branch of the Queensland Rural, Regional and Remote Women’s Network (QRRRWN) and will be administered by Red Earth.

It is open for women aged over 30 who live in the South Burnett and who are seeking assistance to gain additional skills via training or personal development.

Mandy Bishop, from QRRRWN, reminded the audience that the Barambah branch had been with Red Earth since it began, with several members among the formation members of the not-for-profit foundation.

“This is the first of our annual bursaries through the Red Earth Community Foundation,” she said.

Application forms can be downloaded from the Red unveiled at the function was Red Earth’s new plan to raise money for its charitable activities.

Board member Karen Seiler explained the concept of “Impact100”, a fundraising strategy popular both overseas and elsewhere in Australia.

The idea is for 100 people to commit to donating a set amount of money annually which could then be put towards a “high impact” project, especially one that cannot be funded elsewhere.

“2017 Impact100 South Burnett” would involve 100 people donating $200, which would create available funding of $20,000.

“The 100 people would have voting rights to determine whatever project is selected to be funded,” Karen said.

The aim is to make an “extraordinary impact” by funding a project that would benefit the disadvantaged in at least one of the following areas:

Agriculture

Health and
