2017<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is warning businesses to be wary of a man who has been poising as a WHSQ employee.<\/p>\n<p>The man has been telephoning businesses, requesting payment for an advertisement placed in a WHS publication.<\/p>\n<p>In a twist to the usual &#8220;blower&#8221; false billing scam, the man threatens a &#8220;safety audit&#8221; if payment isn&#8217;t made for the alleged advertisement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This person is in no way affiliated with WHSQ and we are taking this matter very seriously,&#8221; a WHSQ spokesperson
