The Blackbutt Avocado Festival is looking for buskers and other performing artists to entertain the crowds at this year’s event.<\/p>\n

“We want to animate Blackbutt’s streets with sight, sound and spectacle and entertainers from all genres,\u201d Avocado Festival chairman Jeff Connor said<\/p>\n

“If you’re a musician, a living statue, a performance artist, a poet, or just think you’ve got what it takes to entertain the public, we would love to hear from you.”<\/p>\n

Mr Connor said an appearance at this year’s Avocado Festival would be an opportunity for an emerging artist to perform in front of an audience of more than 5000 people.<\/p>\n

There will be a number of allocated footpath and festival trail spots for performers.<\/p>\n

“This is straight-up busking on the street – no PAs, and artists are encouraged to put out tip jars or hats, or sell CDs\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The Blackbutt Avocado Festival will be held on Saturday, September 9.<\/p>\n
