A 12-year-old boy was airlifted from Cherbourg Hospital on Thursday afternoon with head injuries after he was allegedly struck by a tomahawk.<\/p>\n

An RACQ LifeFlight spokesperson said the boy was hit on the head, causing a suspected eye injury and head wound.<\/p>\n

It is unknown how the incident occurred.<\/p>\n

The RACQ LifeFlight’s Toowoomba-based helicopter \u00a0airlifted the boy to Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane about 3:45pm.<\/p>\n
