Nanango police are appealing for public help to find the original owner of a pine corner TV cabinet which had a hidden bounty inside … a large amount of cash.<\/p>\n

A member of the public bought the secondhand cabinet, branded “Everyday Country”, at the Hervey Bay Recycling Market at North Nikenbah on June 27.<\/p>\n

A police spokesman said that once the buyer arrived home and began unloading the cabinet from his vehicle, one of the drawers opened and a substantial amount of cash fell out.<\/p>\n

The man went to Nanango Police Station and handed the cash over to officers.<\/p>\n

Police are keen to reunite the money with the original owner.<\/p>\n

They are appealing for anyone who may have information about the cabinet to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.<\/p>\n
