Kingaroy Rotary created four new Paul Harris Fellows at its recent changeover dinner held at the SBcare hall in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

Paul Harris Medallions For Service recognised Jenny Lutz, Edna Bastable, David Black and Ray Pitt for their service to Rotary and the community.<\/p>\n

Special guests at the changeover dinner included Rotary District Governor Alan Stephens, Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington and South Burnett Mayor Keith Campbell.<\/p>\n

Representatives from Taabinga Rotary, Murgon Rotary, Kingaroy Lions, Kingaroy Quota and Probus were also in attendance.<\/p>\n

A highlight of the dinner was a “weigh-in” by outgoing club president Wayne Bushell who has been losing weight over the past year to improve his health and raise money for Rotary.<\/p>\n

So far, Wayne has lost 40kg and raised $520 for charity.<\/p>\n

Wayne handed over the chains of office to incoming president Patrick Eeles, a long-serving member of the club and a familiar face flipping sausages at Rotary barbecues or serving up drinks at Rotary bars.<\/p>\n

UPDATE September 19, 2017: Two more Paul Harris Fellows have been created: John Bastable and Gerard Faulkner. The two club members were presented with their certificates on September 11 by the District Governor.<\/strong><\/p>\n
