Kingaroy RSL players will be able to take a well-earned holiday next weekend after wrapping up their two-day match against Murgon in just one afternoon.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy secured an outright victory against the home team at Murgon Sportsground on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Crusaders won the toss and batted first.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy started well with Tony Dugdell dismissing Paul Brunjes in his first over.<\/p>\n

Crusaders were bowled out quickly for 100 with Bernard Hopkins (24) and Luke Sander (21)\u00a0top scoring. Darren Geiger took 5\/27 and Dave Hosking, 2\/8.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy batsmen then took the crease, declaring at 6\/181.\u00a0David Hosking and Simon Fairbairn both made half-centuries.<\/p>\n

Best of the Crusaders’ bowlers were Bryce Edwards, 2\/18, and Chris Robertson, 2\/41.<\/p>\n

Sent back in,\u00a0Crusaders were looking solid early on until Kingaroy’s Anthony Eden turned to leg spin, claiming 6\/57. \u00a0Dave Hosking also picked up a handy 3\/35.<\/p>\n

Murgon was bowled out for 108 in their second innings with 18 minutes left in the day;\u00a0Luke Sander contributed 22 runs and Damien Sippel (44).<\/p>\n

Kingaroy RSL got the required runs in 2.1 overs to win outright in one day (and in the last over of play).<\/p>\n

Kumbia defeated the Wondai Wolves by three wickets in their B Grade one-day match played at Wondai.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wolves batted first and were all out for 150 from 28 overs.<\/p>\n

Best of the Wondai batsmen were James Cameron (31), Matt Stumer (26) and Clayton Graham (26).<\/p>\n

Kumbia bowlers: Brian Walters, 4\/17 off three overs, and Stewart Lavering, 3\/30 off six overs.<\/p>\n

In reply, Kumbia made the target in the 29th over with the loss of seven wickets.<\/p>\n

Roger Hoare was strong in the batting, knocking out 66.<\/p>\n

James Cameron was the best of the Wolves’ bowlers (3\/11 off 5.5 overs). Clayton Graham took one wicket for six run off five overs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
