July 4, 2017 <\/strong><\/p>\n

A Women\u2019s Community Forum funded by the State Government’s Office for Women will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall on Monday, July 10 from 5.00pm to 7:00pm.<\/p>\n

The event is open to women of all ages, but young women are particularly encouraged to attend.<\/p>\n

The forum aims to engage in a meaningful discussion about the roles and status of women in the South Burnett, the predominant issues facing women in the local community and the services in place to support them.<\/p>\n

Topics up for discussion may include domestic violence, social isolation, and a shortage of support services for women in crisis, as well as gender inequality and discrimination.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The forum will be compered by staff from the One Woman Project’s Queensland office.<\/p>\n

It is one of a series of five similar workshops that will also be held in Gympie, Maryborough, Bundaberg and Hervey Bay between July 10-21.<\/p>\n
