State Development Minister Dr Anthony Lynham<\/figcaption><\/figure>June 27, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

A $26 million expansion of the Dalby ethanol biorefinery will generate jobs and potentially boost demand for sorghum.<\/p>\n

State Development Minister Dr Anthony Lynham said the State Government was providing an incentive package to accelerate the expansion by plant owners, United Petroleum.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is great news for local jobs and for local growers,\u201d Dr Lynham said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur biofutures revolution will create high-value jobs and investment in regional Queensland and expanding markets for our rural producers.”<\/p>\n

United Petroleum\u2019s Dalby bio-refinery already produces 76 million litres of ethanol a year. The plant also produces animal feed products and syrup.<\/p>\n

The expansion will boost biofuel production capacity to 100 million litres a year.<\/p>\n

Dr Lynham said United Petroleum was also start running scientific studies to boost sales of its animal feed product.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
