Speedway fun shouldn’t just be for the boys … the Kingaroy Junior Motorcycle Speedway Club Inc will be giving girls a chance to give it a go on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The club is offering girls the opportunity to try motorcycling speedway in a safe and controlled environment at the Kingaroy Showgrounds for free.<\/p>\n

The riders will be guided by an experienced team of officials and volunteers.<\/p>\n

Participants coming to the “girls only” Come’n’Try day will be issued a one-day free licence to ride for the morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis Come’n’Try day is designed for any girl aged 4\u201316,” club secretary Tracey Tunstall said.<\/p>\n

“This is a great chance for the girls to ride without having any boys to get in the way and the opportunity to try the sport in a safe environment, surrounded by licenced and trained officials.\u201d<\/p>\n

Riders must register at 8:15am at the club track with riding from 9:00am\u201311:30am.<\/p>\n

Girls must bring their own bike, boots, helmet, gloves, goggles, long pants and a long-sleeved shirt.<\/p>\n

The club also has two 50cc Peewee bikes and some gear along with a 125cc slider bike available.<\/p>\n
