considering more than $20 million of new developments, excluding a recent proposal by Bunnings to open a retail outlet in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n<p>Cr Terry Fleischfresser, who chairs the Planning and Property portfolio, told Wednesday&#8217;s Council meeting planning officers are currently processing applications for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>An 80 lot rural residential subdivision<\/strong> in south-west Nanango<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>An extractive industry<\/strong> in a rural area of the region<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A relocatable home park<\/strong> for 51 retirement dwellings in Buckingham Street, Kingaroy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A peanut seed processing plant<\/strong> north of Kingaroy, and<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A significant piggery expansion<\/strong> at Windera<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cr Fleischfresser said that together with the current rebuilding occurring at the Swickers Bacon Factory, he estimated the value of the projects was at least $20 million, and possibly more.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the projects also offered the prospect of more jobs for the region, he said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Later in the same meeting, Councillors approved an application by the Drayton Street Family Practice to expand their existing building at 83 Drayton Street, Nanango into a medical centre.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The new centre will roughly double the practice&#8217;s current size and be capable of hosting as many as eight doctors.<\/p>\n<p>The application was approved subject to standard conditions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Related article: <a
