Nanango State School students were introduced to futsal last Thursday when two regional coaches visited the school.<\/p>\n

Nearly a dozen students took up the offer of training from the coaches,\u00a0one of whom is a former Australian junior coach<\/p>\n

The students learned the skills very quickly and look forward to an ongoing program and eventual games.<\/p>\n

The community-based program is entirely focused on basic skills development.<\/p>\n

Some of the best soccer players started with futsal.<\/p>\n

The game is played indoors, in a quick reaction-based environment, and originates from countries where children don\u2019t play soccer until they are teenagers.<\/p>\n

South Burnett Futsal also thanked Principal Michael Flood for helping to bring the sport to the school.<\/p>\n
