Former Dalby woman Candice Hedge, 34, is recovering in a hospital after being stabbed in the throat during Saturday night’s Islamist terrorist attack in London.<\/p>\n

Candice grew up in Dalby and went to school there before moving to Brisbane several years ago.<\/p>\n

She was in London to spend time with her boyfriend who lives there.<\/p>\n

Her grandfather Brian Hedge, from the well-known Hedge’s Sports Store in Dalby, told the ABC that Candice’s friends and family back in her home town were shocked by the news.<\/p>\n

Candice had been working in a restaurant when one of the attackers came in; early reports suggest she tried to hide under a table but the attacker saw her and stabbed her.<\/p>\n

She is now in St Thomas’ Hospital in London and her family says she is expected to make a good recovery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
