A home in Haly Street, Wondai, was gutted by fire on Monday morning while the occupant was at work.<\/p>\n

Firefighters were called to the blaze at 9:40am and found the building well involved in flames.<\/p>\n

They entered the home to fight the fire but were forced to withdraw when it looked likely the roof was about to collapse.<\/p>\n

A QFES spokesperson said five fire crews attended the incident.<\/p>\n

Police and an ambulance also were in attendance, but no one was injured.<\/p>\n

The fire was contained by 10:40am, but firefighters remained on site after this to dampen down the building.<\/p>\n

Firefighters were also in action on Sunday morning near Wooroolin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Crews were called at 10:42am to Shailers Road, south-west on Wooroolin, to assist landholders with a grass fire.<\/p>\n

The actions of property owners assisted in containing the fire in its early stages.<\/p>\n
