The Kingaroy Quota Club now boasts a new banner thanks to South Burnett Regional Council’s discretionary fund scheme for councillors.<\/p>\n

Cr Danita Potter supported the purchase of the teardrop banner via a $250 grant from her yearly $2000 discretionary fund. \u00a0This fund allows councillors to allocate small grants to not-for-profit organisations for a community purpose.<\/p>\n

The Quota club will use the banner when it is out and about. It will draw attention to its fund-raising activities, including sausage sizzles and raffle ticket selling, and when assisting at events such as Australia Day.<\/p>\n

The banner made its debut at the sausage sizzle in the SupaIGA car park on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

The Kingaroy Quota Club has been operating for 41 years.<\/p>\n

Over this time it has raised funds for a number of worthwhile causes, including the Royal Flying Doctor Service, LifeFlight, the Hear and Say Centre, Kingaroy Scouts and the South Burnett Pantry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
