A cent auction held on Saturday to raise funds for the Chaplaincy program at Taabinga State School has been hailed a success.<\/p>\n

Michelle LeGrand, secretary of the school’s Chaplaincy Committee, said the cent auction raised about $2600.<\/p>\n

“It was really good, we had a lovely afternoon,” she told southburnett.com.au<\/strong>. \u00a0“And we had lots of great quality prizes.”<\/p>\n

Michelle said her committee would like to send a big “thank you” to the women from Baptist church, who made the sandwiches, and the Church of Christ, who did the baking for the afternoon tea.<\/p>\n

The funding will be put towards programs run by the school’s chaplain, Alexia Back.<\/p>\n
