After rain forced its postponement a fortnight ago, the organisers could not have been more pleased with the conditions for the annual Yarraman Campdraft held on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Chris Knowles, who is retiring as the campdraft secretary, said it was not too hot and they had received just enough rain in the lead up to settle the dust.<\/p>\n

She said they had received 132 entries in the Novice Draft and about the same number in the Maiden.<\/p>\n

The Yarraman campdraft has traditionally been staged in January but was shifted after being washed out for several years. It was then moved to June and now November.<\/p>\n

No date has been set yet for the 2013 event.<\/p>\n

The next campdraft to be held in the South Burnett will be at Nanango on February 9-10.<\/p>\n
