Sometimes artists like to just potter around … with clay, of course!\u00a0The Nimu\u00e9\u00a0Art Gallery in Kingaroy held its first clay modelling workshop on Saturday for people interested in learning how to work with modelling clay.<\/p>\n

Gallery owner Cherry Carroll called in well-known Goomeri potter Fay Stumm to lead the workshop.<\/p>\n

The introduction to clay modelling focussed on working with moulds, and participants had the opportunity to produce beautiful moulded pots ready to be fired.<\/p>\n

Nimu\u00e9 Gallery is also currently holding an art raffle to raise funds for the AGL Action Helicopter Rescue Service as\u00a0a direct result of the gallery’s recent “Motors In Motion” art competition.<\/p>\n

The winner of that competition, Nanango artist Karol Oakley, donated her prize-winning painting to be raffled. Other well-known local artists Dot Rowland and Diana Bolton also donated their entries as prizes.<\/p>\n

Tickets are just $1 and are available from the Nimu\u00e9 Gallery in King Street, Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The raffle will be drawn at the launch of the gallery’s Christmas sale next month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
