Murgon and Wondai have become the South Burnett’s second and third RV Friendly towns, following in the footsteps of Nanango which gained the distinction last August.<\/p>\n

The Campervan And Motorhome Club Of Australia (CMCA) added both towns to its list of 64 “RV Friendly” Queensland towns last week.<\/p>\n

The CMCA represents more than 66,000 members, and is the largest RV club in the southern hemisphere.<\/p>\n

The self-contained RV tourism market is currently estimated to be worth more than $2.5 billion annually, and the number of registered RVs in Australia is expected to grow to more than 700,000 vehicles by 2020.<\/p>\n

The CMCA, which aims to create partnerships between RV tourists and the towns they visit, hopes to maximise the value of RV tourism to metropolitan and regional Australia.<\/p>\n

In order to qualify for the “RV Friendly” program, towns must satisfy a number of criteria including:<\/strong><\/p>\n
