If a recent announcement that Murgon will soon install a 40-camera CCTV \u00a0network in the town’s CBD has left residents wondering if crime is out of control there, think again.<\/p>\n

According to Queensland police data, Kingaroy is actually the town with the most crime in the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

In April, Kingaroy saw 75 crimes committed and 44 solved, followed by Murgon 65 (44 solved), Cherbourg 57 (44 solved), Nanango 20 (10 solved) and Wondai 8 (4 solved).<\/p>\n

At the other end of the scale, Hivesville, Tingoora and Kumbia were the most crime-free towns in the region, with all three reporting no incidents of crime during the month.<\/p>\n

All other South Burnett towns had between 7 and 2 crimes in April.<\/p>\n
