It seems we’re a crafty lot in the South Burnett … on Saturday, South Burnett shoppers looking for Christmas ideas had the choice of two expos featuring a huge range of hand-made gifts.<\/p>\n

In Nanango, the Nanango Art Society<\/strong> hosted a Hand Made Expo – complete with Santa Claus – at the Nanango High School auditorium.<\/p>\n

There was everything from Christmas cakes and dolls to hand-made cards and plants.<\/p>\n

Spokeswoman Karren Bolton said profits from the day would be put towards purchasing art materials for the Kids Club which runs at the Winds of Change Art Gallery in Nanango on Saturday mornings.<\/p>\n

In Kingaroy, the\u00a0South Burnett Home-Based Business Group <\/strong>held its Christmas Expo in the Tobruk Room at the Kingaroy RSL Club.<\/p>\n

As well as a wide range of goods from local home-based businesses there was also live entertainment on stage.<\/p>\n

The SB Home-Based Business Group holds expos three times a year in Kingaroy. Their next day will be held on March 9, 2013.<\/p>\n

The two expos followed on from last weekend’s The Handmade Expo<\/strong> market held in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

If you missed out on getting a hand-made Christmas gift at any of these last three events, you’ve still got a chance …<\/p>\n

The inaugural Handmade In Country Night Markets<\/strong> will be held at the Kingaroy Visitor Information Centre on Wednesday,\u00a0November 28, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
