Goomeri and Kilkivan will be moved from Level 4 to Level 3 water restrictions in the near future after recent rainfall boosted both towns’ water supplies.<\/p>\n

Gympie Division 6 Cr Hilary Smerdon said residents in both towns will receive a letter in the next few weeks which will outline the changes from the Level Four to Level Three, and provide further information on permitted and banned activities.<\/p>\n

“Council appreciates the effort that residents made when tighter water restrictions were in place,” Cr Smerdon said.<\/p>\n

“We encourage all residents to continue to be mindful of their water usage, particularly as we head into the drier winter months.”<\/p>\n

Amamoor and Kandanga will also be downgraded from Level 4 to Level 3.<\/p>\n

Gympie, Imbil, Cooloola Cove, Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach will remain on Level One restrictions.<\/p>\n

“This change is a good opportunity for residents, businesses and visitors in the region to be aware of the activities permitted under whatever water restriction level applies in that town,” Cr Smerdon said.<\/p>\n

“If you are not sure, get in contact with Council.”<\/p>\n
