Grant winner: Peta Clarkson from Kingaroy\u2019s Goodstart Early Learning Centre and Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington<\/figcaption><\/figure>November 23, 2012<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ten kindergartens and childcare centres in the Nanango electorate – including seven in the South Burnett – will share in more than $393,000 to complete renovation projects and support the ongoing delivery or expansion of their kindergarten programs.<\/p>\n

Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington congratulated the centres on their successful grant applications through the State Government’s Kindergarten Grants Program.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, she paid a visit to the Kingaroy Goodstart Early Learning Centre to congratulate Director Peta Clarkson on the good news.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really happy that our local kindys and childcare centres are receiving this funding boost. At Goodstart, they\u2019ll now be able to fully refurbish the Centre\u2019s outdoor learning environment with a grant of $93,536,\u201d Deb said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis funding will help our early learning centres provide improved education programs and facilities for our little ones,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

Centres to receive the funding include:<\/p>\n

  • Goodstart Early Learning Centre, Kingaroy – $93,536\n
  • South Burnett Child Care Centre – $97,826 (refurbishment) + $5000 (program enhancement)\n
  • Peanut Kids Kindy & After School Care – $5,000\n
  • Little Peanuts Early Learning Centre – $5,000\n
  • Jumping Beans Children\u2019s Community – $5,000\n
  • Kingaroy Childcare Centre – $5,000\n
  • CTC Community Kids Centre, Nanango – $5,000\n
  • Crows Nest Childrens Centre – $5,000\n
  • Maclagan-Windemere – $52,000\n
  • Toogoolawah Kindy – $116,000\n<\/ul>\n

    The funding for the program was made available by the Department of Education, Training and Employment to help early childhood providers meet the requirements of the National Quality Framework.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
