Time is running out for people wanting to take advantage of the latest opportunity to have their say on AGL’s proposed Coopers Gap wind farm.<\/p>\n

The Director-General of the Department of Energy and Water Supply is seeking feedback in regards to issuing AGL Hydro Partnership (the proposed operator of the wind farm) with a power generation authority.<\/p>\n

Written submissions close on May 1.<\/p>\n

Under the Electricity Act 1994, the Regulator (ie. the Director-General) issues licences for generation, transmission and distribution activities in Queensland\u2019s electricity industry.<\/p>\n

When an applicant applies for a generation authority to connect generating plant with capacity greater than 30MW to a transmission grid or supply network, the Regulator must invite interested persons to make submissions about the application.<\/p>\n

The proposed Coopers Gap Wind Farm is a 460MW power station to be located about 50km south-west of Kingaroy.<\/p>\n
