Former Kingaroy Red Ant Chris McQueen, who signed a two-year deal with the Gold Coast Titans in 2015, will be heading to Wests Tigers at the end of this NRL season.<\/p>\n

The three-year deal is rumoured to be worth $1.2 million for the 30-year-old.<\/p>\n

In a statement released by the club, Wests Tigers Head Coach Ivan Cleary said he was looking forward to having McQueen join.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot only does he bring plenty of experience with him, he is also an extremely consistent player,” he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s clear that Chris has greatly helped the Titans\u2019 young players develop on and off the field in the past few years, and that will no doubt be a strong asset at this club, too.<\/p>\n

\u201cKnowing how hard Chris works and how team-focussed he is, I\u2019m sure it won\u2019t take long for Wests Tigers members and fans to really appreciate him and regard him as a fan favourite.”<\/p>\n

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe also welcomed McQueen to the club.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cChris is a player of high calibre and will no doubt be a strong asset to our club,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot only is he an experienced representative player, he is also a great person off the field and possesses the attributes that we value highly at this club.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sure that Wests Tigers’ members and fans will be excited by the addition of Chris to our team from 2018 onwards.\u201d<\/p>\n

McQueen has played 145 games since making his NRL debut for South Sydney in 2009 and won a premiership with them in 2014.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was released by the Rabbitohs at the end of the 2015 season, allegedly to make way for the return of Sam Burgess. McQueen had played 116 first grade games for the team.<\/p>\n

He then signed a two-year deal with the Gold Coast Titans..<\/p>\n
